Sea-to-Sky Ski Season
The Sea-to-Sky Highway between Vancouver and Whistler is 125 kilometres of mountain corridor — beautiful in summer, demanding in winter. Between October and April, that corridor sees snow, ice, and chain controls. Driving it yourself in a rental after a red-eye from Toronto is not the same as settling into a Cadillac Escalade ESV while a BC-licensed chauffeur handles the conditions.
Elite Ride runs private point-to-point ski transfers from Vancouver downtown, YVR airport, and Squamish to Whistler Village, Creekside, Upper Village, and Whistler Blackcomb base area. Every trip is a dedicated vehicle — no shared shuttles, no strangers, no scheduled stops. Your skis, snowboards, and luggage travel in the same vehicle, not in a separate cargo trailer.
Our SUV fleet — Cadillac Escalade ESV, GMC Yukon Denali, and Chevy Suburban LT — each carries up to 5 passengers with full ski bags, boot bags, and hard-shell luggage without asking anyone to leave gear behind. Groups of 2 to 5 typically pay less per seat than a shared resort shuttle, and they travel on their own schedule. The rate is flat — not set by a surge algorithm.

Honest Assessment
If your group is two people traveling light — a carry-on each, no ski gear — and you have a flexible schedule, the Whistler Express bus from Pacific Central Station runs for roughly $30 per person each way. It will take longer and drop you at the Whistler bus loop rather than your hotel door, but the economics make sense at that group size.
Similarly, if you are driving yourself and your own group in a personal AWD vehicle with winter tires, the Sea-to-Sky is a manageable drive when conditions are clear. We are not going to tell you otherwise. Where we make sense: groups of 4 or more, gear-heavy loads, early morning first-chair timing where precision matters, or travellers landing at YVR with no vehicle and no interest in coordinating three transfers to reach the mountain.

Yes. All SUVs carry up to 5 passengers. The cargo area accommodates ski bags and snowboard bags alongside standard luggage — everything travels inside the vehicle, no external carriers. For groups larger than 5, we coordinate two vehicles. Contact us at (604) 206-3662 to arrange and confirm gear dimensions.
We service Whistler Village, Creekside base area, Upper Village (Fairmont Chateau Whistler and Four Seasons), and most private chalet addresses within Whistler municipality. Pemberton pickups are available by prior arrangement. Specify your exact address or hotel at booking and the driver will confirm the precise meet point.
Highway 99 closures during avalanche control work typically last 1-3 hours. If your trip is affected, the driver will monitor DriveBC in real time and update your estimated arrival. If a closure makes the trip impossible to complete (full-day closures are rare), you receive a full refund. We do not charge for driver wait time during weather-related highway holds under 90 minutes — that is already factored into the quoted price.
No. The same flat rates apply year-round — ski season in February or mountain biking in July, the price is identical. If anything, the winter trip is a stronger value: the driver is managing chain controls and winter road conditions on Highway 99 that you would otherwise be navigating yourself.
